Durham Will Have
Vets' Hospital;
Other Sites Named

Washington, June 28 (AP) - The Veterans Administration announced today approval of sites for construction of five veterans hospitals in southern states.

They are:

Charlotte, N. C., 32 1/2 acres of land two miles from the business center comprising northwest portion of McClintock golf course, for 500-bed general medical and surgical hospital.

The administration said a one-story brick club house on the property will be of no use and will be demolished and removed.

Durham, N. C., 171 1/2 acres of land held by Foushee, et al one and one-half miles northwest of Durham, north of Duke campus and university's medical school hospital, for 500-bed medical and surgical hospital.

Other cities selected include:

Beckley, W. Va.; Little Rock, Ark., and Chattanooga, Tenn.
