Full Text
Upon our modesty, we did not know the fact. We used our best exertions to get all the information we could in regard to the proceedings, and took especial pains to ascertain the names of those who acted as Marshals—but Mr. Hinman's name was not reported.
It is wrong that these things should be left entirely to individual observation, which is liable to so many omissions and mistakes. Minutes, at least, should have been made for those who assumed (necessarily) the duty of reporting the proceedings for the press, but it was not done. We will endeavor, however, not to overlook our worthy friend again.
