COMMUNICATIONS.

For the Sentinel.

Messrs. Caruth & Dunn: I have noticed two communications in your paper in relation to myself as lessee of the State Prison. I do not feel that it is necessary for me to defend myself against the attack thus made upon me, emanating as it does from William Lee, the present Warden of the Prison; but it is due, perhaps, to the public and myself, that I should state who the writer of the communications referred to is, which fact makes it unnecessary for me to reply to them in detail.

Respectfully,

SAMUEL H. PATTERSON.
