1250 MAJORITY.
Farmers and Freemen,
For you we have glorious news from every Town in the State. I told you last Saturday Fenner would be elected Governor 61 majority, to-day the news is, Fenner will have 1250 majority; that the opposition candidate has cried Cave; the countenances of his men have fallen, they are dismayed. they are in affright, fleeing before the Fennerites, they will be overtaken; their provision waggons, harness, artillery, and every implement of defence they have left, they are in the Fennerites possession, there will be no fear of certain victory. The opposition are hourly coming in, and giving in their adhesion to the Fennerites, who are in great force. To the polls freemen, do your duty, and the day is yours.
The ranks of the opposition are broken. See the Fennerites are close pursuing the opposition, their leader has fled, he is no more.
Jonathan Whitman, Charles C. Mowry, John Miller, Benjamin F. Hallett, Thomas Rivers and the Clerk of the Common Pleas, they sloped into a ravine and are no more, they are gone. The day is yours, freemen, the Government is safe. James Fenner, this day, will be elected your Governor, 1250 majority.
Yours, respectfully,
STEPHEN HOPKINS
