Worcester:

Wednesday, January 3, 1827.

In renewing our labors at the commencement of another year, it is with heart-felt satisfaction that we express our obligations for the continuance of the liberal support which has been extended to us, and tender to the patrons of the Spy, individually and collectively, our best wishes for their prosperity and happiness, and for their advancement in every thing pertaining to their good, as moral and intellectual beings.

We are not in the habit of promising much, but we can assure our readers that our best exertions shall be used to make the Spy interesting and valuable, according to the ability we possess; and, if we fail to do it, it will not be for the want of industry and application to our business.
