Rat Poison is
Fatal To Child

BOLTON, July 24—A quantity
of rat poison cost the life of an
18-months-old child here Thursday
afternoon.

Lydia Grey Nye, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. G. David Nye, succumbed
enroute to a doctor's office
several hours after she swallowed
the poison.

Reports said the child climbed
up on a chair to reach a cabinet
and got hold of the rat poison.
She vomited considerably and
it was at first believed that she
had expelled most of the poison,
but it took effect on the road to
Elizabethtown and death came.
