RAIL RIGHT OF WAY BOUGHT BY COUNTY

Prescott, Ariz., Aug. 21.--With the payment of $500 to the Santa Fe railroad, Yavapai county has completed the purchase of the right-of-way and bridges on the abandoned branch line between Middleton and Crown King, a distance of 13 miles, and will begin the immediate construction of a commercial highway over the old rail lines. The new road will provide an outlet to the mining companies in the Bradshaw district. The maximum grade will be less than three per cent. It will be completed in about 60 days.
