Message To Readers
As announced in last week's issue, a temporary arrangement has been effected, whereby the Tri-River Lounge circulation and column will be in charge of and Mrs. William Boone. It is with pleasure, as well as with a sense of responsibility, that we take this column, while Mrs. is taking a much-needed (well-earned) rest. It is a pleasure that we are succeeding one who has blazed the trail and made it plain, so that we may go thereby very easily. It is a sense of responsibility, because we realize that it will be our duty to maintain in this column news that is as interesting as it is possibly informative to who read it. Notwithstanding, we would like for this column to be so intriguing that whenever a resident of the Rouge receives his Tribune any day and immediately turns to the Rouge items, reads it, and having read it, feels that his reading time had been justified. His desire is satisfied. It will be to any impelling literary it may display, but to the relating of news that the wants to read. To accomplish this, your co-operation is needed in assisting us to have news available for publication, as was suggested, all news articles should be in not later than Sunday noon (preferably sooner, if one wants to be assured of having the news published in the current issue of the paper.
Drop your news items at the Center, Monday through Friday from 1 to 9 pm. At other times, leave them at 3732 Fourteenth Street, Ecorse. No innovations or changes in the general procedure will be announced at present.
However, we suggest that readers through the column get's information of coming events, as well as events that have occurred in the past. Whenever it is conveniently possible, it is delightful to know what has happened, but often it is more beneficial to know what is going to happen-
