Full Text

Lions Caged.—Among the animals in the menagerie of the Second Municipality Police dock yesterday was one Mr. Andy Lyons. He was taken up for having disturbed the "isle from its propriety," by breaking several lamps that contained the "ile" of the Municipality. In a fatherly voice the Recorder told him to take up his bed and walk, but that before doing so he must pay for his night's lodging, give bail in the sum of $500, or go to jail for six months. Lyons "shook his angry mane and growled," but two stout policemen soon quieted him.
