Flowers Put On Graves Of Veterans

Flowers were placed on graves of World War dead and other deceased soldiers by members of the American Legion Auxiliary as part of their observance of national Memorial Day Tuesday. The decoration of the graves was in charge of Alley B. Young, commander of Henderson Post, No. 60, of the American Legion, and Mrs. Young, head of the memorial committee of the Auxiliary.

Flags and flowers were used in decoration of the graves of the soldiers who fell in battle or died during the war or since then.

Other than this, the only observance of Memorial Day here was the closing of all banks for the entire day, and the full holiday taken by the post office.
