Annual Bible Class Convention

The annual state convention of Men's Bible Classes will be held Saturday, November 14, at Norwalk. Dr. Stanley High of New York and Dr. James L. Ellenwood of New York will be the speakers. Sessions will be held afternoon and evening. The presidents of several of the neighboring state organizations will be present as well as Russell Fairhurst of East Orange, New Jersey, who is Executive Vice President of the national organization.

Last year more than sixty classes were represented at the convention held in Waterbury and it is expected that there will be more than that number this year. The reports from the different sections of the state now show that more men are interested in attending the Sunday sessions than a year ago.

The Community Class of East Hartford is the largest class in Connecticut and they had 312 men at the opening session of the season on October 4th while the Everyman's Class of Bridgeport was well over the two hundred mark. The attendance at the various classes in the Bridgeport Federation has been nearly 650 men for the past three Sundays, which is much larger than last year.

The present officers of the State Federation are: President, Frank B. Borian of Glastonbury; Secretary, C. Scofield of Bridgeport; Associate Secretary, F. B. Peck of Bridgeport; Treasurer, Horace T. Burgess of New Haven; Vice Presidents, H. D. Crow of Stamford, James Johnston of East Hartford, E. L. Saxton of Norwalk, George A. Trowbridge of West Haven, Dr. F. J. Erbe of Waterbury; Members at Large, Warren P. Grant of Hartford, C. K. Calhoun of Bridgeport, C. C. Jones of Meriden, Chas. Calkins of Wethersfield, Everett Stanley of Waterbury, F. E. Bron of Beacon Falls, and W. O. Flo of Bridgeport.
