WILL PROBE GOLD STATUS
Fletcher Hamilton, director in charge of Seattle hearings of the senate commission on gold and silver inquiry, will hold public meetings in Seattle February 4 and, he advised the Alaska department of the Seattle Chamber of Commerce Wednesday.

The senate, at its last session, provided for an inquiry into the gold and silver situation throughout the United States. As no provision was made for obtaining testimony outside the United States, Hamilton is inviting Alaskans and those interested in gold and silver mining in Alaska to be present at the hearings in Seattle.

The commission seeks to determine causes for continuing decrease in gold and silver production.
