Mrs. C. L. Harmonson Elected President of Smyrna Library Commission

Mrs. C. L. Harmonson was elected president of the Smyrna Library Commission at its quarterly meeting here on February 6. Mrs. Harmonson, who has long been identified with projects to develop and expand local library facilities, was also named by the members of the commission as chairman of the book committee. She will be assisted in the work of the committee by Miss Elizabeth Thornley. Glenn S. King was re-elected as vice-president and George W. Wright as treasurer. Richard Price and Miss Thornley, newly-appointed members of the commission, were named as the house committee, which has charge of the maintenance and improvement of the quarters occupied by the library. Mr. Wright explained in detail the financial background of the Smyrna Library and complimented the president-elect for the excellent work of the book committee in securing new books and in providing representative magazines within the limits of the budget.
