We know that certain individuals, high in office, find time to pay attention to our domestic politics, and to disseminate from Washington speeches and documents, with a view of affecting the result of the April elections. The power and influence of the Government are brought to bear upon the people of Virginia. We know what we say, when we assert, that office holders and office seekers are aware, that disinterested and zealous partizanship, during the coming month, will not go unrequited. We mean not to be personal—but deem it our duty to place the people upon their guard.-Fred. Arena.
