Protection Against Robbers.

Warned by the recent bank robberies and the numerous attacks upon banks, the banks of Independence, Kansas, have adopted a device that will afford ample protection. They have adopted a new system which connects the four banks and four of the business houses in different parts of the town. In each is placed an electric bell and in the floor near the desk of each employe is a button, which, when pressed, causes the bells in the other buildings to ring, thus spreading the alarm.
