Rush Soil Treatment
for Japanese Beetle
Control in This Zone

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., Nov. 22. Treatment of areas in which Japanese beetles were trapped during the summer months has progressed rapidly under favorable weather conditions. Virgil M. Simmons, commissioner of the Department of Conservation, said this week.

Work has been completed in Ft. Wayne where 20 acres were treated, in Whiting where 17 acres were in the treatment zone, and on 38 acres in Logansport. A total of 99 acres is to be treated in Indianapolis with work completed on more than a third of this area.

Completion of the treatment in Indianapolis will depend upon weather conditions.
