DIVISION OF TURKEY.
The following project for the dismemberment of European Turkey, is the substance of some observations made by the French general Lauriston, while speaking of the distracted state of the Ottoman government, and is communicated by an officer of L'Unite frigate, cruising off Ragusa;—
"France to have Albania, Greece, the Morea, and the islands.
"Russia to retain its conquests in Moldavia and Bessarabia.
"Austria (in the event of her acceding to the confederacy) to receive Bosnia, Servia, and Macedonia—Austria ceding to France the Littoral.
"The provinces of Wallachia, Bulgaria, and Roumelia, to be erected into a separate kingdom for the Grand Duke Constantine, with the title of King of Thrace; Constantinople to be his capital.
The disposition of the Illyric provinces is not mentioned, and they are possibly reserved for some future arrangement.
