Full Text

Tarrying on the Way.

Yesterday morning a man coming to Market with a load of country produce, took several drinks from a bottle, with which he had provided himself to keep away the keen morning air.

The consequence was that drunk came.

He had no control over his horses, and they went where they chose.

They chose to go up a by road, east of the city, and down a steep bank.

The wagon was overturned, the produce spilled, the horses entangled in the harness, and the drunken driver had the hair and skin all torn off the back part of his head.

He was found in this excellent condition by a clever German neighbor, who gathered up his scattered truck brought it to town and sold it at a sacrifice.
