WEST COHASSET

The West Cohasset Farm bureau unit held their regular meeting Saturday evening, March 16, with a good attendance. The meeting was opened by singing America. After a short business session two songs were given by Mrs Casper Zoble. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Scherf and Grant Harthan, a report by Mrs. R. B. Rassmussen on her trip to the master homemakers convention at St. Paul, a very interesting talk by Dr. Nesom of the University farm on soils and the benefit derived from alfalfa and other fertilizers.

Those appointed on the lunch committee for the April 20 meeting were Mesdames James Haywood, Casper Zoble and Oliver Anderson.

Frma Rosenbauer of Grand Rapids visited Sunday at her home here.

Vida Zoble has been ill a couple of days the past week.

Several from this vicinity attended the dance in Cohasset Saturday night given by the Improvement club.

Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Jewel visited Friday afternoon at the George Stockwell home.

Velma Woods of Cohasset and Mary June Grober visited Wednesday evening with Clarice Gist and helped her celebrate her birthday.

The first meeting of the home demonstration club will be Friday, March 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Archie Pierce.

Mr. and Mrs. Frank Woods of Cohasset visited Wednesday evening at the Harry Gist home.

Mrs. Bruce Wolfe visited Saturday afternoon at the John Strang home.
