Of the distinguished Judge who presided, we feel convinced that we express a universally entertained opinion, in saying, that he gave entire satisfaction to all parties. Judge Toomer possesses, in an eminent degree, those qualities calculated to fit him for the station he occupies—a readiness in deciding, and a manner which carries conviction to all of the justice of his decision. We heard many admire him for the clearness and impartiality of his charges to the Jury; and many praise him for the suavity of his deportment.—Lincoln Republican.
