WILBERFORCE, Aug. 10. (ANP) Wilberforce university recently honored A. L. Foster, director of publicity for Parker House Sausage company, by presenting him the Alumni Certificate of Honor.
Foster was recognized for his "outstanding achievement and meritorious service over a period of 10 years or more." The certificate was signed by Dr. Charles L. Hill, president of the university; Bishop A. J. Allen, chairman board of trustees, and Milton S. J. Wright, director of alumni relations.
Graduated from Wilberforce magna cum laude in 1916, Foster has since taught school, served as a high school principal, and officer in the army, and worked with the Y.M.C.A. and Urban League. He is now associate editor of Color magazine and a correspondent for the Associated Negro Press.
