A Gentleman lately from New York favored us with a Paper of the 18th Instant; from which we have selected the following:

LISBON. April 18.

This city has been much alarmed by some shocks of earthquakes, which have been felt here and at Belem and Marinda. On the 18th we felt three shocks, which though pretty violent, did no damage. Great remembrance of the 1st of Nov. 1755, together with the recent damage done by earthquakes in Sicily and Calabria, have spread a general terror among the inhabitants.
