Resolutions in favor of the Compromise.

HARRISBURG, Jan. 23.—In the Senate, to-day, Mr. Muhlenburg read the joint resolutions in favor of the Compromise acts passed by Congress. These acts are viewed as reflecting the highest credit upon the patriotic originators of them, and further assert that the measure should be looked upon as a solemn contract between northern and southern States, and upon their proper performance depends the fate of the Union, and that no attempt to interfere with any portion of the Compromise should be entertained for a single moment.
