The rank taken by the several companies of the militia in the inspection that recently held has been made known by the adjutant general's office.
According to the reports of the inspectors there are ten leading organizations ranking above 85 per cent. in the rating given them for appearance, drills and general work of the soldier as follows:
Company G, First regiment, 90.62 per cent.; Troop B, First Squadron of Cavalry, 90.0 per cent.; First Machine Gun Battery, 89.75 per cent.; Company B, First regiment, 89.75 per cent.; Company E, Second regiment, 89.35 per cent.; Battery A, Light Artillery, 88 per cent.; Company G, Second regiment, 87.52 per cent.; Company B, Second regiment, 87.49 per cent.; Company D, First regiment, 87.31 per cent.; Company C, First regiment, 84 per cent.
