WHO IS HE?
Is S. B. Strong Dead or Alive?
The Weird Contents of a Bottle Found Floating in the Jordan.
As two young men named Higgs and Hunter were returning from a hunting trip on the Jordan yesterday, they noticed floating slowly down the river what appeared to be a bottle of beer securely corked. Out of curiosity they towed the object in to shore, when they found it to be a corked bottle with a small scrap of paper inside.
The paper was torn from a small note or memorandum book, and on it was scrawled in lead pencil the following:
I have bid farewell to all and with my wife and children to you am a wreck and disgrace to those I have left behind am only fit for a drunkard's grave young men take my advice square up your future life be honest and true and keep from a drunkard's grave.
S. B. STRONG
The directory fails to show any S. B. Strong in Salt Lake city. He may, however, be a new comer, and the question is whether his body will be found somewhere along the banks of the Jordan, or whether the whole thing is the prank of some would be joker.
This publication will probably draw forth whatever there is in the affair.
