First Semester of the Year Begins Today-Big Freshman Class.
Brunswick, Sept. 23.-(Special).-The first semester of the college year at Bowdoin will open tomorrow and already nearly all of the students are back. Everything indicates that the entering Class of 1912 will be the largest class in the history of the college. The rooms in the three large dormitories are now all practically filled, while a good sized number will room off the campus.
The faculty will be the same as at the close of college last June. The courses which will be given are also practically identical with those of last year.
During the summer the campus has been kept in fine condition and is now at the height of its autumn grandeur. The campus has also been improved by the constructing of paths from the Walker Art building to both Hubbard hall and the Searles Science building.
The eight fraternity houses are in full running order, the upper class men for the most part arriving Tuesday and today, and everything is ready for the opening chapel exercises tomorrow morning at 8.20.
