If the predictions of the government weather forecaster for this district are fulfilled, railway men believe that passenger trains by tomorrow, or Saturday at latest, will be running on their average winter time. All the lines leading to Madison will have been pretty well cleared of snow by nightfall. Cold, and the fact that some trains did not reach their destinations in time last night to start out on schedule this morning. was the cause given for delayed trains today.
A rotary snowplow cleared the east line of the Milwaukee, between Jackson, Minn., and this city yesterday, and at about 9 o'clock this morning started over the Sioux Falls cut-off. Several freight trains were started on local lines today. The morning passenger train from the west arrived about an hour and a half late, and the passenger train due from the north at 9:15 o'clock this morning. came in at about 1 o'clock.
