Full Text

SOUTH AMERICA.

A few weeks since, our intelligence from Colombia placed the Patriots in possession of Caracas and La Guaira. Soon afterwards, we learnt that those cities had been retaken by the Royalists. By the last mails it is rendered pretty certain that they have again changed masters. Details, resting partly on conjecture, are scarcely worth publishing. Something decisive, however, is soon expected from the operations of the two armies, which are said to be approaching each other. A great battle, it is believed, must take place; one which will decide the fate of the country, at least for the present campaign.
