THE RIGHT TICKET

Taxpayers and citizens interested in the welfare of Guthrie should see to it that the old gang are defeated and the Citizens' ticket elected at the polls next Tuesday. Guthrie will then have an honest, economical administration, taxes will be reduced and every interest of the city advanced.
THE RIGHT MEN

Messrs. Goode, Olsmith and Ritzhaupt are active, energetic, successful business men who will put business energy and business judgment into city affairs, and it will be a calamity not to elect them.

There will be no change in the office of police judge. Olsmith is just the man for Guthrie.

Perry came to the front with $500 in money and $100 in clothing for the Chandler sufferers.
Governor Elect Barnes telegraphed a generous contribution for the wrecked homes of Chandler:

The Capital's "special" service in Washington reported the "sudden disappearance of Dennis Flynn" yesterday.

Ransom Payne has told the president how the marshal's commission would please him. Ransom is nothing if not outspoken.
The men on the citizens ticket are business men and property holders, vitally interested in the future welfare of Guthrie, and the city government will be safe in their hands.

Let the old gang get possession of the city police court once more and thugs and gamblers will run riot while honest citizens are dragged up and fined for trivial offenses as of yore.

The people who are practicing on the expression, "Governor Barnes," are strong enough to carry the Fifth ward, and yet they talk about the numerous endorsements of Flynn.

Rumor on the street last night had it that Amos Ewing had been appointed marshal and Sam Murphy secretary. This was only an effect of Sid Clarke's return from Washington with a split voice.

"Of all sad things of tongue or pen,
The saddest are these-
We might have been."

But Judge Dale said the people might vote for a Goode mayor this spring, and elect him.

This will be an election of intelligence. To vote a ticket intelligently, one must read. This is why the Capital opposes the new election law. Its only hope of success is the aid Republicans secure from ignorance and prejudice.

They are now trying to make Dennis Flynn commissioner of Indian affairs. The LEADER sincerely hopes the effort will be successful.

He would make a good successor of Judge Browning. But wouldn't it have been better to ask for the place in the first instance and not try to crowd into the seat reserved for another?

Vincent having been turned down and out of his own party, shows less tact than Greer. The latter takes as much of his medicine as he can, while the former tries to roast men of his own party for not passing vicious legislation. When one has been turned down he becomes a back number, and should keep still. Just see how quiet Greer is since the governor contest was settled.

A vote for Ritzhaupt for city treasurer is a vote for safety of the funds and economical and honest conduct of the city's finances.
