Significant.—At an impromptu gathering of about fifty men on the sidewalk, on Second street, last week, a vote was taken on the question whether the Iowa City Press, for publishing an article calling the Iowa volunteers 'invaders of Missouri,' and Col. Curtis 'leader of an abolition horde,' deserved 'a cleaning out.' It was decided unanimously in the affirmative. It is generally believed here that Le Grand Byington is the author of the article, and it is a matter of wonder that the old traitor and falsifier is not driven out of decent society, as he was in Ohio many years since.
