Camden, N. J.—By the complete returns of the census just taken, Camden contains 34,036 inhabitants. They are divided among the different wards as follows: First ward, 5902; Second 3900; Third, 8154; Fourth, 5270; Fifth, 5200; Sixth, 8525; Seventh, 8790; Eighth 3175. Total 34,036. The assessors who were designated by law to make this census, so that a fair and favorable exhibit may be returned during the Centennial year, have taken the utmost pains to make every item correct, and it is believed that we have the fairest census that has been taken for many years.
