The Newfoundland Sub-Marine Telegraph:
-The St. John's N. F., Morning Post of the 19th says:-
The telegraph work is progressing favorably, and everything indicates the completion of the work by the time anticipated, so that we may expect to be in telegraphic communication with New York month after next.
The Halifax Morning Chronicle states that the sub-marine cable connecting Cape Breton with Newfoundland, which was submerged on the 10th inst., works admirably, messages being transmitted from shore to shore with the utmost facility.
