Full Text

Joint Delegation
To Visit Broadway
Towns To The East

For the purpose of making a check upon the signboards now standing upon the Broadway of America and intended to serve the cities and towns of Douglas, Bisbee, Tombstone and Tucson, a committee composed of representatives of the chambers of commerce from those points will leave Douglas shortly afternoon today for Lordsburg and Deming and probably to go as far as Las Cruces, though the plans now call for the trip to be only to Deming. The signs have not been checked over for some time and it is the belief that some of them should be changed as to wording, if for no other reason. Then, too, there is back of this journey a feeling that such a visit will help to cement friendships and encourage better understandings between the people of the several cities and towns along the Broadway of America and that the trip is worth while on that basis.
