Tallahassee, Dec. 30 - Chairman J. W. Perkins today called a meeting of the State Road Department for January 3 "to transact any pending business."

The monthly payrolls and some contracts awarded since the last meeting will be called up for approval.

The session will be the last for the department under the administration of Gov. Fred P. Cone, whose term ends January 7.

Five members of the department hold appointments which do not expire until near the end of 1941 or later. There has been no announcement whether they would submit resignations to the new governor, Spessard L. Holland.
