ACHIEVEMENT CONTEST IS OPEN TO BOYS AND GIRLS
Entries Must Be In Hands Of Committee By Noon of May 1

All entries for the achievement contest, being held on May 1, 2 and 3, under the auspices of the Boys' Work Committee of the Oakland Rotary Club, must be turned in before ten o'clock on Wednesday, May 1, Ralph Weber, chairman, announced this morning. The exhibits are to be taken to the vacant storeroom in the Miller building, corner Second and Liberty streets.

The contest is being held in celebration of Youth Week. Classes are open to both boys and girls of school age. Mr. Weber stated that elementary and high school pupils would not compete against each other. Where there are entries from both school divisions in the same class, separate prizes will be awarded.

Last year there were approximately 75 entries in the various classes. This year there are many more classes open to competition and many more entries are expected.
