SALT LAKE, Dec. 18-Some interesting data relative to the "ways" of reducing operating expenses of a moving picture theatre, are being gathered by the Utah Light & Railway agents to prosecute their case against Harry Revier as manager of the Majestic theatre for "swiping" juice to operate the moving picture machine in that place.
According to information now in the hands of agents of the company, Revier is rather handy when it comes to manipulating innocent looking little wires and switches in the operating room of a theatre. In fact, it is said that he is a master of the art of manufacturing and applying "jumpers"— the electrician's slang phrase for a wire that will carry a large portion of the current from a switch through a moving picture machine and back to the grounding wire, without it passing through the recording meter and piling up the bill of the user.
Revier, it is declared, had his operating room at the Majestic so nicely arranged and equipped that he jealously guarded it from inspection by any electrician who might be in the employ of the light company, unless he had visited the room himself, first.
The company is securing witnesses and evidence and is preparing to fight the case against Revier to the last ditch.
