A GOOD AMENDMENT,

The constitution of the state locates the University of Colorado at Boulder. A decision of the supreme court denies the right of the university to conduct any part of its medical work in Denver, hence a constitutional amendment is necessary to secure that right. The last legislature voted to submit such an amendment.

The clinical years of a medical education can be given most advantageously in a large city. Other institutions, situated as the University of Colorado, are giving the last two years of medicine in nearby cities.

To give the university the clinical advantages of a large city it is necessary to give it the right to conduct the last two years of the medical course in Denver.

The Denver and Gross college of Medicine has signed a contract with the regents of the university by which it becomes a part of the medical school of the university next December. Hence all the medical forces of the state are united in support of the proposed amendment.

The American Medical association and the Colorado Medical association favor the merging of the two schools and the passing of this amendment.

The Republican and the Democratic state conventions in 1908 unanimously favored submitting this amendment.
