Alaska Nat. Bank Looted By Gunman In Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, (AP) The new State of Alaska had its first bank robbery Monday. Clad in a parka and the face covered by a hood and a plaid scarf, a bandit robbed the Alaska National Bank here of more than $14,000.

Officers of what is still known as the Territorial Police, U. S. marshals, Federal Bureau of Investigation agents and city police combined in a search for the robber.

The man, described as 6 feet tall and between 35 and 40 years old, pointed a revolver at the bank's cashier, stuffed the money into a shopping bag and escaped.
