Desperado Defies a Town.

Toledo, O., Nov. 23.—John McNally who nearly killed the marshal of Bloomdale not long ago and terrorized the town for three days, almost destroyed the city jail at Bowling Green at another time, has created a reign of terror in the town of Rudolph and is now in hiding. He went to the office of H. Harmes, a justice of the peace, and after driving the official away took possession, and as a self-delegated official drew up warrants galore for all of the people about the county with whom he had any fancied grievance.

He then started out to serve them. Several people narrowly escaped being shot down. Meantime Deputy Sheriff Farmer had arrived from Bowling Green, but, although noted as a brave official, he was compelled to retreat. A mob of at least 500 gathered, and several times they thought they had McNally cornered, but in some daring manner he would escape. This morning he disappeared.
