New-York, July 3

To-morrow being the Anniversary of that auspicious day, on which the UNITED STATES of AMERICA were declared INDEPENDENT, preparations have been made for it's celebration.

Agreeably to Brigade Orders of the 19th ult. the Light-Infantry Companies of the first and third regiments of the City Militia, together with,the Grenadiers of the first regiment, and the Brigade Company of Artillery, will parade at 9 o'clock, and march to the Race-Ground at 11 o'clock ; where they are to perform such firings and manoeuvres as are directed for the day. The whole to be commanded by Major Christie of the first regiment.

The Anniversary Meeting of that illustrious Institution the Society of the Cincinnati, is to be held in this city, on the memorable fourth of July.—This Society has very properly assigned this day for their stated annual meeting—that they may have an opportunity, in their collective capacity, to commemorate that Independence for which they have so nobly contended -to renew and perpetuate a friendship, which was formed in the Field of Mars, and in those tumultuous times when nought was heard but the Trump of War.

We are informed, that an ORATION in commemoration of this important event, is to be delivered by a gentleman who holds a dignified station, and who possesses the graces of an Orator.—To hear a recital of the principal events of the late arduous contest—a recapitulation of the deeds of those WORTHIES who have distinguished themselves in the cabinet and field, must surely be pleasing to every citizen of America: And whilst the Enlogies of those DEPARTED HEROES, who have sacrificed their lives at the Shrine of Freedom, may move the tender feelings of the heart, we must, at the same time, be excited to form an elevated conception of their PATRIOTISM, BRAVERY, And MAGNANIMITY.
