A DIFFERENT NEWSPAPER.

If there is any vocation in which originality commands a premium it is in newspaper work. Fame and fortune await the man who will create a different newspaper.

Not different in the sense in which yellow journalism is distinguished from the more conservative type, but different in the sense in which the new and novel attracts from the old and tiresome.

Publishers of the smaller papers have often bewailed the fact that the city dailies have usurped their field.

They say that the people no longer care for their publications because they can read all they care to read in the metropolitan papers.

Surely it is not impossible to create a paper that will interest, even in the face of metropolitan competition. The people may not give their support because they are not interested.
