NAZARETH CONVENT IS OPENED AT VICTORIA.

Special to The Light.

Victoria, Tex., Jan. 23.—Yesterday afternoon to mark the completion of the Nazareth convent at this place, the doors were thrown open for a reception in honor of the mother superior to which the general public was extended a hearty invitation. Nazareth convent is a most magnificent structure, beautiful in all of its details and from 2 to 6 p. m. hundreds of guests crowded in to give greeting to the mother superior and to view the lovely rooms and many corridors with which the handsome edifice abounds. To give welcome to the visitors two little boys awaited at the outer doors and received from each entering guest his or her card or signature in a record book. Delightful punch was served by several young lady pupils of the convent.
