Wife Murder or Assassination?

Albany, Ind., Aug. 24—Mrs. Minnie Masterson, wife of James Masterson was murdered here tonight and her husband is in jail charged with the murder. He denies the charge. He says that he and his wife were returning from Louisville to their home and had just gotten off a car when a man stepped from behind a post and grabbed his wife, who screamed "For God's sake, Willie, don't," and three shots were fired in quick succession by her assassin. Masterson insists that the murderer of his wife fired two shots at him, one of which took effect in his arm, which was bleeding profusely at the time he was arrested.
