NEW YORK ELECTION

New York, Nov. 11.-The returns come in very slowly from the counties, but continue to show gains for Clark, which, if continued, will give him a majority. The Governorship, however, still hangs in great doubt between Mr. Seymour and Mr. Clark. The official vote alone, which cannot be had for some days, will be necessary to decide, so close is the contest.

Mr. Raymond, whig, is supposed to have been elected Lieutenant Governor. This, however, admits of doubt, but his chances are best, so far as returns have come to hand.

Mr. Fitzhugh, whig, has been elected Canal Commissioner by a large majority, and Mr. Browne, whig, Prison Inspector.

[SECOND DISPATCH]

Seymour is undoubtedly elected. His reported majority is 5,686. The Assembly stands-82 fusionists, 38 democrats, and 3 temperance men. The congressional delegation stands-26 fusionists and 7 democrats.

New York, Nov. 11.-A riot is apprehended at Williamsburg to-morrow. The military will be held in readiness. The Mayor has issued a proclamation counseling order.
