Ham-Egg Protest Sent to Schools

SACRAMENTO, Oct. 4-(UP)— Dr. Walter Dexter, State Superintendent of Public Instruction, today referred to local school authorities a demand by $30 Every Thursday Pension Plan leaders for a "general purge" of teachers they accuse of distributing literature against the plan.

Dr. Dexter said he heard of no such action by teachers but had asked department attorneys to study the situation. A state law, he said, prohibits spreading of propaganda in schools unless approved by local governing boards.
