A Trick Exposed.

We see by the "Virginia Chronicle" that a report has been circulated, that Col. Beale, the Know-Nothing candidate for Lieutenant Governor, has become dissatisfied with his party. This report, no doubt, has been gotten up to catch the vote of the Democrats who have recently withdrawn from the Know-Nothing councils in Jackson county. The whole affair has been exposed by Mr. Hutchinson in a card to the editors of the Chronicle,' in which he unwittingly says:

Mr. Editor:--Understanding since my arrival at Ripley that a report is in circulation in Jackson County that Col. Beale has become dissatisfied with the American party and intends voting the Anti-American ticket, I take the occasion to say that there is no foundation at all for the rumor. I had a conversation with Col. B. in the early part of the week, and he is still more strongly attached to the principles of the Reform Party than ever.
