New York, Nov. 14—From Curacoa. We learn, by the arrival this forenoon of the brig Gov. Van Solen, in 16 days from Curacoa, that the weather at that place, from the 22d to the 27th of October, had been very tempestuous, with much rain and heavy thunder and lightning. The wind prevailed for three days from S. S. W. to S. W. which caused a heavy swell in the harbor; but the shipping, with the exception of one man of war, which broke adrift, rode out the gale. From the country the accounts were not so favorable. One man lost eight thousand barrels of salt by the break of the sea.
