Coyotes, marauding menace of Imperial county livestock, will be hunted again next year by marksmen and trappers financed by state and county funds, the board of supervisors decided Monday. Crews this year killed more than 800 of the animals, saving ranchers thousands of dollars in livestock upon which the coyotes depend for food. The board voted to cooperate with the state in financing the work. The amount the county will contribute will be decided at the time the annual budget is set.
