On Monday last the Gold and Silver Lace and Buttons, together with the French Paper in which they were seiz'd, were apprais'd at the Custom-house, and valued at £503 l. If the Importer be the Purchaser, he pays dear for his Finery.

Since the great Discovery of Gold wrought Buttons, &c. above-mention'd, the Officers of the Custom have been very diligent in searching the Houses of several Taylors, and have made a great many Seizures of rich Suits of Cloaths making up against the Birth-Day, enrich'd with the Buttons, and Gold and Silver of the French Manufactory.
