Court adjourned Friday afternoon after disposing of all the business that could be disposed of at this time. Thursday afternoon Receiver Isackeen filed his final report and asked to be discharged, which the court granted. Friday morning the court appointed O. E. Cannon receiver of the G. W. B. S. Co for the purpose of collecting and reporting to the court the assets and liabilities of the company.
In the case of O. E Norell vs. John J McGinness, et al, which was the action brought against the county commissioners to compel the calling of the local option election, the defendants defaulted and judgment was rendered against them for the costs of the action.
On Wednesday the case of F. B. Daniels vs Frank Englehart was tried before a jury. This was an action on a note given by Mr. Englehart to the Great Western Beet Sugar Company for a water right This note was sold to the plaintiff before maturity for value. The defense was that Mr. Englehart had never received anything for the note being unable to get any water, and Mr. Daniels, being an officer of the company, was not an innocent purchaser. The jury returned a verdict for the defendant
